To protest against the sky-rocketing prices of essential house hold commodities, petrol, diesel and other items, Congress MLA and former minister P C Sharma took out a march in New Market area of Bhopal on Saturday. He was accompanied by Congress workers. Sharma and Congress workers also approached the shopkeepers and distributed pamphlets to them. During the march, Congress workers also raised slogan against the soaring inflation which is making common men’s life difficult. They also interacted with common people who came to do necessary purchasing. They tried to define to people that what were the rates of various commodities such as petrol during the previous Congress government and how they skyrocketed after BJP came to power in centre.

They added that owing to hike in petrol and diesel prices, rates of other commodities also went up to give sleepless nights to common people. They said that such is the situation that people earning Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000 per month is finding difficult to run the house and meet the necessary expenses of family. They alleged that central government failed to contain the soaring inflation. They claimed that prices of commodities are not taking the name to reduce. Whether it is gas cylinder, cooking oil, material used in house construction etc, they all are all time high. P C Sharma appealed people to support Congress and uproot BJP in next elections. On this occasion, former Corporator Wahid Lashkari, Santosh Kansana, Guddu Chauhan etc were present.
