Superintendent of Police, Siddharth Bahuguna (IPS) flagged off an awareness campaign pertaining to stop illegal money laundering practices in the district, on Saturday. SP, Bahuguna informed that Jabalpur Police have started a special campaign to put-up vigilant check on illegal money laundering practice in the district. He informed about strict action against a money launder by razing his encroachments on Government lands in Panagar and several other money launders were promptly arrested after registering complaints by appellants.

 

He extended appeal towards residents to register complaint at their nearest police station about illegal money laundering or contact on helpline number 7587632800 for complaint against money launder, land mafia or persons involved in chit-fund companies. He assured the residents for taking stern action against the offenders and protection of debtors. In the awareness campaign, two police vehicles will visit urban and rural areas to create public awareness to stop illegal money laundering and taking complaints of victims. On the occasion, Additional SP (City), Rohit Kashwani (IPS), Additional SP (North/Traffic), Sanjay Kumar Agrawal, Additional SP (Rural), Shivesh Singh Baghel and other officers were present.
