District Collector Avinash Lavania on Wednesday inspected dry-run of an oxygen plant with a capacity of 1000 LPM installed on premises of JP Hospital, Bhopal. During dry-run, the plant was operated continuously for six hours and quality of oxygen was checked. Preparations are being monitored by running 15 oxygen plants set up in Bhopal in such a way that purity of oxygen plants will also be kept at maximum capacity. For this, every 2 hours the plant is being inspected by the expert. Notably, all these activities have to be inspected by operating all the plants established in the district.
 
Collector Lavania said that cases of coronavirus have been increasing continuously in the State capital for past few days. Hospitals have been prepared to deal with any emergency and to avoid any untoward situation. In the same context, dry-run of oxygen plants is being carried out in the State capital. Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr Prabhakar Tiwari said that as of today oxygen generation plant in Bhopal has a capacity of 10,000 LPM. So, nearly 300 metric tonnes of oxygen will be available in Bhopal.
