A delegation of Swayamsiddha met with Risali Municipal Corporation Commissioner Sushil Babar and handed over a memorandum demanding to issue an official order to the candidates and parties for removing the banner and poster after corporation election is over. Dr Sonali Chakraborty, Director of Swayamsiddha said that all are aware of the work being done for the campaign in view of the elections, but after the elections these banners, posters, pamphlets, flags become useless and are abandoned.

She said that in many banners and posters tricolor is used by the candidates and when they are thrown on the roads or garbage bin they make the environment unclean and is also disrespectful for the Tricolour. So for the respect of tri-colour Swyamsiddha submitted a memorandum to Risali Commissioner in his office and Home Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu at Chaya Garden and requested to issue an official order for their compulsory removal by the candidates after election. Swayamsiddha’s core committee members Neelima Shukla, Sheela Prakash, Maneka Verma, Archana Sengupta and Debjani Majumdar were present.
