Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) Cleanliness Brand Ambassador groups met Municipal Commissioner KVS Chaudhary on Tuesday in view of the upcoming Cleanliness Survey 2022. During the meet, Municipal Commissioner Chaudhary highlighted the concerns of spreading awareness among general public regarding hygiene and waste segregation and also stated that single use plastics pose major challenges and must be used in moderation. Post this, the brand ambassador groups pledged to make the state capital free from Single-use plastics within the upcoming three months. Following this, the Brand Ambassadors’ groups took stock of the works being conducted by BMC in the direction of cleanliness and waste management by visiting the Bhanpur Khanti area.
 
They also obtained information on scientific closure and greenery development and then lauded BMC’s efforts. Various people appointed in different regions have been made Cleanliness brand ambassadors to ensure the participation of general public towards maintaining hygiene in the state capital in view of Cleanliness Survey 2021. Almost 60 such brand ambassadors inspected the Bhanpur Khanti area on Tuesday and obtained information about Bio-remediation, Bio-mining and land reclaim works of the area.
 
The officials and employees of Saurashtra Company, who have been assigned the responsibility of treating the wastes scientifically and other works, apprised the brand ambassadors about the same. On the occasion, presentations were also given on Anthem 2.0 ‘Har dhadkan hai swacch bharat ki’. During the visit, the brand ambassadors reflected on the earlier state of Bhanpur Khanti area and then lauded BMC’s miraculous efforts in transforming the area. They also expressed pride over the same.
