To ensure cent per cent attendance of illiterates in the mohalla literacy class, a training of volunteer teachers and skilled trainers will be held within a week. The main objective behind it is to carry out innovative activities to educate illiterate parents. This was stated by Rajesh Singh Rana, Joint Secretary, School Education Department and Director of State Literacy Mission Authority, in the state level review meeting of the District Project Officers. Rana said that the period has been extended till March 31, 2022 to meet the target of Reading and Writing Campaign of Government of India.
 
He further said that the remaining students of the first phase of the Mahapariksha Abhiyan and the C grade learners of the Mahapariksha Abhiyan are to be brought to the Mohalla literacy class in the first week of January. Prashant Kumar Pandey, the Nodal Officer of Reading and Writing Campaign, presented a power point presentation and reviewed the district-wise situation in relation to the State Curriculum Framework. SCERT Assistant Professor Neelam Arora, Resource Person Sunil Mishra, Neha Shukla, Assistant Director Dinesh Kumar Tank, Neelam Arora, Sunil Mishra , Nidhi Agarwal, Vikas Bhadauria, Asha Sinha and District Project Officers of 28 districts attended the meeting.
