The Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) has been making consistent efforts to exalt the State capital at the first position in the list of cleanest cities in India, in view of upcoming Cleanliness Survey 2022. As per the same initiative, BMC Commissioner KVS Chaudhary on Thursday visited various colonies and residential areas of the city and interacted with the residents. During the interaction, Commissioner Chaudhary suggested the general public to segregate the dry and wet waste at homes, prepare organic manure by installing compost unit in colony premises and adopt 4-Rs of environment conservation to make their respective wards self reliant.
 
Post this, Commissioner Chaudhary took stock of zero waste temple constructed in Green city, Trilanga and the manure being prepared by the children of Baba Nagar slums in pots, after which he issued instructions to make buckets and culture available to Baba Nagar slum residents. Following this, he obtained information about the garbage dumping vehicles at Baba Nagar garbage transfer station and also weighed them. Post this, he directed to monitor the transportation of wastes by means of automation system. Alongside Commissioner Chaudhary, BMC Additional Commissioner MP Singh and other BMC officials were also present. Commissioner Chaudhary lauded the efforts of the children of Baba Nagar slums and distributed certificates to them as well. While interacting with the representatives of the Green city Resident Association, he apprised them about the waste disposal works being carried out by BMC at Aadampur Chhavani area. He informed that coal tar will be manufactured by means of NTPC and paving blocks and bricks will be made from construction material.
