Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the research findings of scholars in the field of economy and prominent economists will be made the basis in the determination of the upcoming budget of Madhya Pradesh. Madhya Pradesh will contribute more and more in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s resolve of five trillion dollars. He was addressing the Economy of Madhya Pradesh session on the second day of the National Convention of the Indian Economy Association at the Golden Jubilee auditorium of the Academy of Administration in Bhopal on Sunday. He said that the Madhya Pradesh Government would make meaningful use of the suggestions received from the participants of this seminar. It is noteworthy that CM had inaugurated the convention on Saturday. Today he again came to listen to the views of scholars in a session focused on Madhya Pradesh.

 

This session was presided over by the Vice Chairman of the Atal Behari Vajpayee Institute of Governance and Policy Analysis Professor Sachin Chaturvedi. In the seminar, the economists also described the achievements made in the last one and a half decade in Madhya Pradesh and also gave suggestions regarding the priorities needed for the future. CM said that not all persons can be experts in different subjects. Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself receives feedback on various subjects. In ancient times, there were Navratnas in the courts. But in the present system, subject experts are no less than gems for the government. He said that 140 economists who came to Bhopal for the seminar are like Navratna for the Madhya Pradesh government. Their talent will be used for Madhya Pradesh. Similar seminar will be held again next year. He said that department-wise meetings are being started from January 3 in which the schemes of departments and provision of funds will be discussed in detail. Administrative officers are also active in the work of preparing the budget, but giving priority to the suggestions of economists, the budget of the state will be decided. The suggestions which are not immediately implemented will be implemented in the long term plan.
