City shuttler Poonam Tatwawadi has entered quarter finals of 50-year singles and doubles category of World Senior Badminton Championship being played in Huelva, Spain. Poonam, who has clinched three medals in World Senior Badminton Championship, was given a bye in the first round of 50-year category. Competing in the second round of the championship, she trounced Spain player Maria Antonia by 21-6 and 21-7. In pre-quarter finals, she triumphed over Stephany Wigger from Germany by 21-8 and 21-5 to bag a place in quarter finals of the championship. In doubles matches, duo comprising Poonam and Sangeeta Ramgopalan defeated Fret Vivian and L Sasithorn duo by 21-19 and 21-16 in a pulsating match to enter into Top-8 of the competition.
