City’s disabled players highlight their plight

THE International Day of Persons with Disabilities is observed every year on December 3. On eve of the important day for the fraternity, Uttam Mishra, President, The Maharashtra State Cricket Association for Disabled, wants to highlight their plight.
 
After much pursuance and follow up with the authorities, divyangs of the city were provided a ground and a small structure on the Divisional Sports Complex premises in Mankapur. “Due to lack of funds, divyang sportspersons are finding it tough to develop and maintain the ground as well as the structure that has been renovated to be used as office cum store room,” said Mishra while talking to ‘The Hitavada’. Mishra urged the corporate houses, industrialists and philanthropist of the region to come up and provide funds or sporting and office equipment so that divyang players can train regularly at the venue.
