Home Minister Narottam Mishra tried his hands in batting while inaugurating 5th Master Cup (Veteran) competition at Old Campion Ground in Bhopal on Thursday. Later, he tweeted that it was after a long time that he got the chance to try his hands in batting. He said that batting is necessary for physical and mental development. Before inauguration of tournament, he took introduction from members of Media Masters and second inning Masters. He congratulated everyone for the tournament. Veteran Masters Club is being organized under the joint aegis of Sports Club of Bhopal and Bhopal Cricket Academy.
 
Patroniser of Sports Club of Bhopal Committee Rahul Kothari informed that it is for the 5th time that Committee is organizing T 20 Masters (Veteran) and Senior Division Inter Club Cricket Competition which could not be organised for last two years due to Covid-19. This time, 8 teams are participating in the competition which is league basis competition. In this competition, all players will play in colourful dress and with white ball. Organising Secretary Yogendra Vyas said that awards of competition will be given under categories Best Bawler, batsman, fielder, wicket keeper, player of the tournament.
