Dr Manya Thakur Roy, Associate Professor in Otorhinolaryngology Department, Ear Nose Throat and Head and Neck Surgery (ENT-HNS) at Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Medical College was awarded certificate of felicitation for her outstanding oral presentation on ‘Inverted papilloma with intraorbital and intracranial extension’ at the International Conference on Otorhinolaryngology at Dubai, UAE. Scientex Conference held under the theme of scientific aspects and novelty in Otorhinolaryngology. She was also presented Certificate of Appreciation for Best Poster presentation On ‘Surgical anatomy of external laryngeal nerve in relation to thyroid surgery’. Dr Manya also gave presentation on ‘Cervical schwannoma by transcervical approach: Our experience’.
 
Previously she had also been awarded as Young Otorhinolaryngologist at the 13th Annual Middle East Otolaryngology Conference held at Dubai in April 2015. Her presentation was very well appreciated by the organising committee members. She was the only participant from Chhattisgarh at the International event. Dr Manya informed that Otorhinolaryngology Department (ENT-HNS) handles all medical problems concerning the ear, nose (including sinus), head and neck. The department is equipped with the latest and most complete diagnostic and therapeutic instruments for the ear, nose and throat – head and neck. Doctor Manya is probably amongst the 1st ENT surgeon to receive an International award in any International conference. She acknowledges her family, parents, Head Dr Hansa Banjara and Dean Dr Vishnu Dutt for her success.
