NAGPUR Cricket Academy (NCA) captain Aryan Rathod played a match winning knock of 63 to help his side beat Dr Ambedkar College Sports Academy (DACSA) XI by two wickets and win the Dr R Krishnakumar memorial cricket tournament, the other day. Batting first, DACSA scored 153 for 6 from 25 overs. Opener Palash Khandekar scored 40 while Ranvir Jichkar added 26 as they posted 68 runs for the opening wicket. Avyesh Bhiwapurkar (36) and Yash Chaude (33) were the other main scorers. For NCA, Ayush took two wickets.

 

In reply, NCA achieved the target with one ball to spare. Raj Kapse (35) and Suleman Ali Khan (20) started well for NCA. Lower-order bat, Rathod scored 57 runs from 37 balls with the help of three boundaries and as many sixes to guide his side to title win. Bhadant Arya Nagarjun Surai Sasai, President, PP Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Smarak Samiti gave away prizes in presence of Dr Rajlaxmi Krishna Kumar, Adv Suresh Nilatkar, Sute, Vilas Gajghate, Dr BM Mehhre, Principal, Dr Ambedkar College, Dr AP Joshi, VP, Dr Ambedkar College. Shailesh Raulkar, Dr Prashant Bambal, Prashant Kantode, Chandan Shah, Sarang Chumble, Omkar Gagan, Mahesh Dhoble, Suresh Bobde, Pranay Thavkar worked hard for the success of the competition.
