MP Academy’s female shooters continue medal-winning spree at national c’ship

Representatives of MP Shooting Academy, Sunidhi Chouhan, Aprajita Singh, Sharanya Lakhan and Mantasha Aqeel are persevering in their relentless efforts to bag medals in their respective categories under the 50-m Rifle Prone event of the 64th National Rifle Shooting Championship. At the championship under way at MP Shooting Academy, Bisankhedi, the finals of the aforesaid event will take place on Thursday, which will be followed by prize distribution ceremony. The championship will witness its finals on Friday. Sunidhi stands at 7th place in 50-m Rifle Prone women’s event by securing 616 points, while other female shooters from MP, Aprajita rests at 22nd place by logging 610.70 points.
 
In the very event, Telangana shooter Surbhi Bharadwaj outshines others by topping the list and is followed by Savita Thakur from Railways and Sweety Chaudhary from Rajasthan at 2nd and 3rd positions respectively. In the junior’s event of the 50-m Rifle Prone women’s event, Sharanya from MP occupies 15th position with 603.20 points, who is followed by Mantasha from MP as well with 603 points to seize the 16th place.
 
Telangana gains accolades in this even as well, as Surbhi Bharadwaj tops the chart again, followed by Rajasthan Shooter Sweety and Apoorva from Andhra Pradesh at 2nd and 3rd positions respectively. In the 10-m Air Rifle Men’s event, MP Shooter Harshit Bijwa has secured 7th rank, Shreyas Singh Baghel from MP occupied 16th place while Avinash Yadav rests at 17th position. Competing in junior’s category of the same event, Avinash Yadav finished 10th, while Sajal Singhi stood 15th and Adarsh Tiwari held the 24th place. Sajal Singhi bagged 7th position in 10-m Air Rifle Youth Men’s event. The 10-m Air Rifle Main Relay events will be held from 10.15 am till 4.30 pm on Thursday.
