Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan kick-started State-level Pulse Polio Campaign by administering polio doses to infants at his residence in Bhopal on Sunday. The Chief Minister symbolically administered polio drops to four children of Bhopal. These children included Shanvi Malaviya, Meher Bhartiya, Anirudh Singh and Veer Purohit.
 
Chief Minister Chouhan said that common people and voluntary organisations must cooperate in the campaign to eradicate polio completely. The Chief Minister said that India is polio free but polio still exists in some countries and it may even return. Do not be negligent towards your child’s safety. Polio drops must be given every time. He urged people to contribute in maintaining the country’s victory over polio.
 
The Chief Minister called upon people to make this national campaign successful for protection of the health of infants. Chief Minister Chouhan also instructed officers of Health Department to ensure smooth operation of the vaccination campaign in the entire State. On the occasion, Health Minister Dr Prabhuram Chaudhary, Health Commissioner Dr Sanjay Goel, Mission Director NHM Chhavi Bhardwaj and State Immunisation Officer Dr Santosh Shukla were present.
