MP Shooting Academy’s players shine in trial competition at Delhi

The players of Madhya Pradesh Shooting Academy are doing excellent at the ongoing trials for the upcoming international shooting competitions. Academy’s star shooter Chinky Yadav stood first in the final round of the third and fourth selection trials held in Delhi. In the third selection trial held at Delhi, Yadav finished fourth with a score of 579 in the qualification round of the 25 metre sports pistol event, while she finished first in the final round with 37 points.
 
Yadav, while retaining her top position, also performed well in the fourth selection trial held on Wednesday and finished first with 384 points in the qualification round and 37 points in the final round. Aishwarya Pratap Singh Tomar finished fifth in the men’s 10 metre Air Rifle event with a score of 628.7 in the fourth qualification round of the fourth test trial, while he performing brilliantly and finished second in the final round with a score of 252.6. Similarly, academy’s player Sunidhi Chauhan finished first in the third trial qualification round by scoring 1170 points, but in the final round, she scored 456 to finish second. In the final round of the fourth selection trial played on Thursday, she finished fifth with 420.4 points.
 
State Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia appreciated Yadav's brilliant performance in the selection trial held in Delhi and said that Yadav has made Madhya Pradesh proud by coming first in the trial, leaving behind the champion players. She also congratulated and wished the players success in the further event. Director Sports and Youth Welfare Pawan Jain expressed happiness over the success of the shooting academy players. Notably, the said players are getting trained under the guidance of Chief Coach of Shooting Academy, Jaspal Rana, Sunita Lakhan, Jayawardhan Singh, Vaibhav Sharma, Oshin Tawani and Aparajita Singh.
