Fire breaks out at tent house in Jamul

PROPERTY worth lakhs of rupees gutted, after fire broke out at a tent house in Jamul, Durg during early hours on Thursday. After information the well-equipped fire fighting squads reached the troubled location and doused the fire. The proprietor is suspecting foul play in the fire mishap. Polices sources informed that at about 3:45 am on Thursday, all of a sudden fire broke out at Shriram Tent House, located in Ravanbhata area of Jamul, Durg and soon the tent house was engulfed into flames with emission of thick smoke.
 
After information the fire brigades from various agencies reached the troubled location immediately and managed to extinguish fire. The fire fighters took about an hour and a half to douse fire completely. About two to three water tenders were pressed into service for dousing the fire, the sources said. On information regarding fire mishap within the police station limits, a Jamul police team also reached the area immediately and cordoned off it to avert possibility of any eventuality.
 
The police have recorded the incident and are further investigating in co-ordination with other government agencies. Rajkumar Yadav, Proprietor, Shriram Tent House, Ravanbhata, Jamul, Durg informed that the fire mishap was the outcome of foul play and he has brought the matter to the notice of police station concerned. He also told the newspaper that in CCTV grabs he retrieved from the location an unidentified man is being seen colleting paper and card wastes in the area and setting fire the tent-house. He informed also told that he learnt about the fire mishap after a passerby phoned him and informed him about the fire at the tent-house.
 
The property worth over Rs 8 lakh gutted in fire, informed the tent house owner Rajkumar Yadav. D Mandawi, I/c Station House Officer, Jamul Police Station informed that the police have already initiated further investigating in the matter to ascertain the facts. He added that the victim tent house owner also facilitated police investigation with CCTV grabs and the police are on lookout for unidentified man being seen in the footages.
