Rajnath Singh virtually launches water structures under ‘Jalabhishekam’ prog

Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh described ‘Jalabhishekam’ as a programme of national importance. He added that water is life and also basis of existence of world. Doubling income of farmers is resolve of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Water conservation works being done by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan with public participation will be helpful in achieving this goal and building self-reliant Madhya Pradesh.
 
He also paid tributes to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay on latter’s death anniversary and said that the work of ‘Jalabhishekam’ fulfilling goal of ‘Water for Every Farm and Work for Every Hand’ will prove to be helpful in betterment of village, poor and farmers. MGNREGA is one of biggest schemes in world and its importance has increased in COVID pandemic time. He was addressing virtual launch programme of more than 57,000 water structures constructed in state under ‘Jalabhishekam’ campaign from New Delhi. Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Narendra Singh Tomar participated virtually in programme organised in presence of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan at Minto Hall in Bhopal.
