Though schools have been reopened in State after several months of lockdown, Palak Mahasangh continued their demand with private CBSE schools regarding fee issues.
Palak Mahasangh also reached the residence of State School Education Minister Indar Singh Parmar on Friday to hand over demand letter. Besides, a silent march was also taken out at Arera Hills.
President of Palak Mahasangh Kamal Vishwakarma said that private CBSE schools are violating the guidelines and orders of Government and High Court. He said that apart from tuition fee, schools are charging additional amount from parents, including the late fee. He alleged that even district education office is not taking cognizance of the issues.
Palak Mahasangh said that as per new guidelines only classes 9 to 12 have been reopened while remaining primary and middle classes are still closed. Private schools were directed by the High Court to charge only tuition fee from students but most of the private CBSE schools in city are charging additional fees.
They said that primary and middle class students are not going school for entire session but their parents are forced to pay fee for the entire year.
Palak Mahasangh is opposing the fee demand of private schools since lockdown. When all schools were closed amid COVID-19 pandemic, schools started demanding the regular fee amount from parents.
The matter was also challenged in the court where schools were directed to charge only tuition fee. But maximum CBSE private schools in Bhopal are charging entire fee from parents.
