Pracheen Kala Kendra organised its 33rd ‘Webaithak’ studded with melodious vocal recital by Indore-based Vocalist Poorvi Nimgaonkar on Friday.

 

Poorvi Nimgaonkar is noted classical singer from Indore. She got her initial training from her father and mother. After that she learnt intricacies of Indian classical music from Vidushi Ashwini Bhide Deshpande.

 

She performed at many prestigious classical concert all over India. She is the empanelled artist of ICCR.

 

Poorvi commenced her recital with Raga Bageshri in traditional starting aalap which was followed by a composition in Vilambit teen taal with words ‘aaj ki raina tum na javo piya’. Then she moved on to present ‘Jane na dungi rasia “composition in aada chau taal. She concluded her recital with a Kabirdasji composition ‘tarpe bin balam mora jiya’. She was ably accompanied by noted tabla player Hemant Dixit and Upkar Godbole on harmonium.
