Taking immediate action in case forwarded by National Crime Record Bureau (NCRB) and Police Head Quarters (PHQ), Raipur Police’s Cyber Cell arrested a 35-year-old man in connection with child pornography case. According to information received, the arrested accused has been identified as Jagannath Suman (35), a native of Madhya Pradesh.

 

In connection with the case received from NCRB and PHQ, Moudhapara police registered an offence against an unidentified person, who allegedly posted content related to child pornography in social media platform. “Based on the prima-facie investigation, police launched a search for the unidentified accused. In preliminary police investigation, investigators learnt about the identity of the accused and his whereabouts in Madhya Pradesh,” said police sources.

 

The accused was arrested from Madhya Pradesh’s Bhind district and brought here on transit remand, informed police sources, elaborating that a mobile phone used in the crime was also seized by police from the possession of the accused. An offence in this connection was registered with Moudhapara police station under relevant Section of Information Technology (IT) Act, added police sources.
