Second phase of COVID vaccination drive started in State Capital on Saturday. Total of 833 health care workers turned up to get second dose of Covishield on the first day against the target of 2,82,890 set for the day. The percentage of vaccination in Chhattisgarh was 0.29. Dr Amar Singh Thakur, State Immunisation Officer informed that Padma Shri Dr A T Dabke took the second dose of Covishield on the first day and in Raipur total of 27 health care workers took part in the drive. He further informed that Dr Dabke is perfectly fine after the vaccination. He requested the health care workers, who took the first dose of vaccine to get vaccinated after interval of 28 days from first vaccination date.

 

The mop-up round of first phase is being conducted till February 18 and vaccination of front line workers is going to conclude on February 22. Mop-up round for front line workers will end on February 25. As per the information the highest number of vaccination performed on the day was 186 performed in Bilaspur district against the target of 20,129. In other districts vaccination performed was 35 in Balod, 3 in Baloda Bazaar, 0 in Balrampur, 12 in Bastar, 122 in Bemetara, 55 Bijapur, 4 Dantewada, 30 Dhamtari, 67 Durg, 16 Gariyaband, 24 Gaurella Pendra Marwahi, 7 Janjgir Champa, 20 Jashpur, 0 Kabirdham, 12 Kanker, 10 Kondagaon, 38 Korba, 0 Koriya, 44 Mahasamund, 7 Mungeli, 2 Narainpur, 0 Raigarh, 27 Raipur, 17 Rajnandgaon, 42 Sukma, 23 Surajpur and 29 in Surguja.

 

While according to report 74.25 per cent vaccination took place during the first phase of vaccination. Against the target of 2,82,890 the vaccinations performed were 2,10,047. Highest per cent of vaccination of 90.49 was done in Balod. District wise vaccination was done are 6,578 in Balod, 7,431 Baloda Bazaar, 4,705 Balrampur, 7,828 Bastar, 4,788 Bemetara, 2,591 Bijapur, 14,730 Bilaspur, 3,045 Dantewada, 4,850 Dhamtari, 13,851 Durg, 5,125 Gariyaband, 2,343 Gaurella Pendra Marwahi, 9,145 Janjgir Champa, 9,424 Jashpur, 5,841 Kabirdham, 7,238 Kanker, 4,695 Kondagaon, 9,718 Korba, 5,762 Koriya, 6,946 Mahasamund, 3,392 Mungeli, 1,151 Narainpur, 13,498 Raigarh, 25,617 Raipur, 12,788 Rajnandgaon, 2,223 Sukma, 6,821 Surajpur and 7,923 in Surguja.
