Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had discussion over tea with Environment and New and Renewable energy Minister Hardeep Singh Dang on Monday. Dang apprised CM Chouhan about departmental schemes. He told that farmers are being benefited from the provisions of power generation under Kusum Yojana. After widespread implementation of scheme not only the farmer will get electricity produced from solar energy but the amount of additional production will be deposited in the accounts of farmers due to the arrangement of storage of electricity. It will also help in preventing transmission losses.

 

While government will also benefit from this, ten-hour power supply will be ensured to farmers every day. He informed that scheme of supplying solar power in government buildings has been successful. Roof top scheme has been popularised by setting up plant on the roof of government offices. Efforts are being made to increase wind energy production and its use with the implementation of new solar policy in State.
