Health check-up of 42 expectant mothers, 38 acute malnourished children conducted

Health check-up of 42 expectant mothers and 38 acute malnourished children was carried out at a program ‘Sneh Sammelan’ organised by Department of Women and Child Development at Anand Nagar. The health of expectant mothers was examined by gynaecologist of Pt Khushilal Ayurveda Hospital Dr Basanti Guru while paediatrician Dr Lalita Parmar checked the health of malnourished children.
 
The examinees were also provided with necessary medicines free of cost and protein and multi-vitamin tablets were distributed among the expectant mothers at the health camp. An orthopaedician of Narmada Hospital Dr Rajesh Sharma diagnosed the patients through a tele-clinic. Project officer Akhilesh Chandra Chaturvedi said that the ‘Sneh campaign’ is being carried out in eight panchayats from December 25. Besides, they were also informed about Mahamas massage oil for kids. Parents were informed that the health grades of 37 kids have improved. Anganwadi staffers Anita and Ragini were felicitated for their work in promotion of family planning. District Collector Avinash Lavania, Zila Panchayat CEO Vikas Mishra, CMHO Dr Prabhakar Tiwari, District Project officer R C Tripathi, District Ayush Officer Antim Nalvaya, BMO Fanda and WCD observer Sonal Jaiswal and others were present.
