Doctors take second shot of COVID vaccine

Dr Vishnu Dutt, Dean of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Medical College and other doctors took second shot of COVID vaccine on Thursday. Dr Dutt informed that on January 20 he took first shot of COVID Vaccine and as per schedule he got vaccinated on February 18. He informed that those who took first dose of COVID Vaccine should get second dose as per schedule after 28 days.
 
He shared that he is absolutely fine after both the shots he discharged his duty without any interruption. He advised the Health Care Workers (HCW) and Front Line Workers (FLW) to get vaccinated without hesitation and it is completely safe. After 14 days of taking second dose anti-body develops in body, which fights Corona virus. It may be mentioned that the team of doctors, nursing staff and other health workers of Medical College took first dose of COVID Vaccine and with great enthusiasm they took second dose.
 
Doctors include Hospital Superintendent of Dr BR Ambedkar Memorial Hospital Dr Vineet Jain, Covid Critical Care Specialist Dr OP Sundrani, Dr Satish Shukla, Dr Piyush Bhargava, Dr Garima and others. As per information received from National Health Mission on Thursday 4596 HCW took second dose of COVID Vaccine and total of 14425 persons were vaccinated till date which is 5.22 per cent of the target. While first dose of 13155 COVID Vaccine was administered on the day with this total tally of first dose reached 2,19,543 which is 79.52 per cent of the target.
