Congress says Budget is disappointing

Union Budget presented by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has evoked mixed reactions from politicians and common people as well. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan dubbed the Union Budget as revolutionary and in the direction of Atmanirbhar Bharat, Congress said budget is disappointing. CM Chouhan said that Union Budget is Atmanirbhar Budget, it has new vision and is revolutionary budget. Care of all sections of society has been taken in Budget which is going to transform Indian economy.

It has provision for fight against corona. States will get more money. Budget also provides tax relief to pensioners. Meanwhile, former Chief Minister Kamal Nath said that people have lot of expectations from Union Budget during the time of pandemic but this Budget has disappointed them. No provision has been made in Budget to provide relief to common people. Farmers are biggest section of country and they are doing movement from more than two months. Budget has nothing for them. During corona pandemic, youths lost job in large number and there is nothing for employment for youths in budget.

Once again, work has been done to repeat many old promises in budget. Those who used to tell that country will not be allowed to get sold, now they have slogan ‘Will Sell all Things’. There was hope to get relief in tax but relaxation has been not increased. Those who used to protest against FDI are implementing it in every sector. Former MP Congress President Arun Yadav has severely criticised the Union Budget by saying that Government will also sell airport, roads, electricity, transmission lines, railway, warehouse, GAIL, Indian Oil Pipeline, Government bank, one General Insurance Company and stadium. Whatever remains will be sold out by the Government in the year 2024.
