Madhya Pradesh Assembly’s Budget Session is going to start from Monday February 22. The Budget Session is likely to be stormy as Opposition is determined to corner State Government over various burning issues. Opposition is all set to raise issues of law and order with full might. They are going to rake up Sidhi bus tragedy which claimed at least 54 lives. Apart from this, incidents happened with women and girls are certainly going to be raised by the Opposition in the House. Speaking to ‘The Hitavada’, Congress General Secretary (Media) K K Mishra told that Congress will corner Government on all burning issues. Opposition is strong as it is having 96 MLAs.

Former Chief Minister Kamal Nath will co-ordinate with MLAs squad activities. Sources in Congress also dropped harbinger that at least in Budget Session, Kamal Nath will continue to act as Leader of Opposition. As of now, party do not have any plan to appoint new Opposition leader. Notably, Kamal Nath is also having the charge of Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee and he wish to lead the organisation to make it strong at ground-level. Around 5,000 questions have been listed by MLAs in Budget Session. Meanwhile, Congress has convened meeting of its MLA squad on Monday evening. Congress MLAs have been asked to remain present in the meeting.

In Budget Session, those ex-Congress MLAs who resigned from party to join BJP and got elected in by-elections will be sitting on treasury benches and will face charges from their former Congress colleagues for the first time in Assembly. Ruling BJP knew that Congress will leave no stone unturned to corner its Government on floor of Assembly. Hence, it has already asked its MLAs to prepare themselves on every issue so that they can repel the charges of Opposition in an efficient manner.
