98th University Co-ordination Committee meeting concludes
 
 
Governor Anandiben Patel said that transparency in work, adherence to policy rules should be ensured. As soon as the university examination process is complete, students should be provided marksheets and certificates online, so that students do not face any inconvenience in higher studies or employment applications. Governor Patel was addressing 98th University Coordination Committee meeting at Raj Bhavan on Sunday. The Governor said that convocation should be dignified and magnificent.
 
Directs to conduct a definite procedure for all activities of the function. Also directed to complete construction work and provide compliance report within a time frame as per agenda. The Governor also stressed on ensuring arrangements as per interest of students and said that arrangements should be made that depositing fees at one place does not hinder selection of student’s curriculum and institution’s options. For this, the system of depositing fee in the centralised bank account at the time of admission may be examined. Patel said that initiatives should be taken to make universities Atmanirbhar in accordance with New Education Policy.
 
Referring to mutual agreement signed by the Medical and Technical University of Uttar Pradesh, he said that both the universities are working on the basis of their own resources, construction of equipments, repairs and utilisation of resources, etc. He asked universities of the State to work on mutual agreements with agricultural and engineering colleges. He gave special emphasis on participation of students in the programmes of universities. He said that it is the responsibility of universities to make the student a responsible citizen. Therefore, participation of students in campus and outside events should be ensured. Clearly mention such activities in the annual calendar.
