An Online Regional Workshop on Covid situation and vaccination covering 4 States (CG, Maharashtra,Goa & Diu) was organized under the joint auspices of by MoSJE (GoI) with HelpAge RRTC, CSSC & HelpAge India Friday. Speaking as the Keynote speaker, T S Singhdeo, Minister for Health (GoCG) mentioned that State Government and the respective departments worked sincerely to stop the spread of the virus.
 
He mentioned that our frontline healthcare workers and doctors need to be complemented for the sincerity and commitment to resist the surge of virus in State. He also mentioned that above all we are thankful to the people of CG for following the protocol of the Govt and restricting the spread. He admitted that the process of vaccination is slow but would speed up with time.
 
Having said, he mentioned that the people should follow the 3 cardinal principals of safety as Hand washing, applying mask in daily life and Physical distancing just to be safe and make others safe. The urban communities need to be especially careful since the cities are densely populated. It is from cities the virus is transported to rural. He mentioned that slackness on our part will only increase the spikes and putting our lives in danger. We all need to act as a responsible citizen to fight Corona.
