Girl conspires to kill boyfriend to be able to marry another man

A 20-year-old girl hired a contract killer to eliminate her boyfriend so that she could marry another man, police said on Friday after arresting all the four persons allegedly involved in the murder. After killing the man, the contract killer threw the body in a 200 feet deep open mine to destroy the evidence.
 
The deceased was identified as Chandu Gangadhar Mahapur (30), a resident of Pachgaon while the accused are - Bharat Vasanta Gujar (25), Kalyani Pramod Hajare (20), Pramod Laxman Hajare (52) and Panchafula Pramod Hajare (47), all residents of Pachgaon.
 
According to police, Mahapur was the father of two children. He developed a relationship with a young girl of his village. Mahapur was not allowing the girl to marry another person of Nagpur city. Accused Gujar is a relative of Mahapur. A quarrel erupted between Mahapur and Gujar over monetary disputes last month. As the girl was fed up with Mahapur's regular threats, she contacted Gujar. The girl and her family members had allegedly assured Gujar that they would pay him Rs 1.5 lakh to kill Mahapur. The girl had allegedly also lured him of physical relationship.
 
Gujar and Mahapur had gone to a Country Liquor Shop in Pachgaon where they consumed liquor on Thursday afternoon. Gujar later took Mahapur to open mine in Salaimendha area on a motorcycle where he slit his throat with a sharp-weapon. Profusely bleeding Mahapur collapsed on the ground and breathed his last on the spot. Gujar threw the body in the open mine which is around 200 feet deep and fled the spot. He continued his agriculture work in his village.
 
After recovering the body from the mine, the police identified Mahapur and launched an investigation.
The cops activated informants who told the police about illicit relationship of Mahapur with the girl. Acting on a tip-off, the Local Crime Branch have arrested Gujar, the girl and her parents for killing Mahapur. An offence under Section 302, 34 and 201 of Indian Penal Code was registered by Kuhi Police. Under the guidance of SP Rakesh Ola, Addl SP Rahul Maknikar, DySP Home Sanjay Purandere, DySP Umred Bhimrao Tele, the arrest was made by Police Inspector LCB Anil Jittawar, API Jitendra Wairagade, PSIs Narendra Gaurkhede, Javed Sheikh and staff including Ramesh Bhoyar, Santosh Pandhre, Madan Asatkar, Radhesham Kamble, Balaji Sakhre, Amol Kuthe
and others.
