Urban Development and Housing Minister Bhupendra Singh held discussions over tea with Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan at Mantralaya on Wednesday. During the meeting, he informed that development works and beautification of cities are going on in the State. These works will continue in future also. Availability of basic amenities to citizens is constantly being reviewed. CM Chouhan said that officer’s should remain active and conduct review in order to maintain beautification and development of cities of State, especially development of parks, expansion of urban transport means, system of drinking water and smooth sewage system.
 
CM Chouhan also asked Bhupendra Singh to hold discussions with the agency engaged in construction and development work of cities and solve their problems. On the occasion, Bhupendra Singh gave information about works being conducted in various cities. Chief Minister Chouhan said that he is visiting different cities of State, to acquire information about five-year development project. In some cities, better plans for five-year development plans have been made.
 
In recently announced Union Budget, adequate provision has been made for Jaljeevan Mission. Discussion was held to ensure maximum benefits to Madhya Pradesh from the mission’s works. The Chief Minister said that implementation should be started after studying what other development works can be undertaken in cities of the State. Bhupendra Singh told Chief Minister that he himself is reviewing the work being done by various bodies daily.
