Nine youths allegedly gang raped a minor school going girl, on Tuesday late afternoon. Three accused have been arrested, whereas, six other accused are still absconding. The action was taken by Pathalgaon Police. One of the accused arrested has been identified as Ashok Lakra, while two others are minor. According to police sources, the victim after school was returning home with her friend on motorcycle.

 

On way, the duo stopped near Pattrapali Chind Bahri jungle to have their tiffin and for rest. Meanwhile, nine youths, from a nearby village Pathrapali, reached the spot. The youths first started misbehaving with the girl and when the friend of the girl accompanying her objected, the youths thrashed him so badly that he collapsed. Then the youths gangraped the girl and fled from the spot leaving the girl in a pitiable condition. On getting information, Pathalgaon Police reached the spot and took the duo victims to the hospital.

 

The medical examination of the girl was conducted after which she was discharged. The police lodged the case under relevant sections and based on inputs started a manhunt to nab the youths. In the process, the police team arrested three accused including, two minor boys, and search for the other accused is in progress. Pathalgaon SDO(P) Yogesh Dewangan said that the police arrested three accused in the gang rape case and are searching for the other accused.
