Union Budget will speed up State’s development: Sharma

State BJP President V D Sharma reckoned the specialities of Union Budget recently presented by Union Finance Minister Niramala Sitharaman in Parliament on Saturday. He said that for the first time, there has been 135 per cent hike in health budget by seeing the corona period. Addressing the press conference at BJP Headquarters, he told that union budget actually reflects the vision of Modi Government. Highlighting Union Budget in terms of Madhya Pradesh context, he told that it was from long time that demand was being made to complete Ken Betwa link project to end thirst of Bundelkhand belt. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman earmarked Rs 35,111 crore for this project. “As a Member of Parliament, I have seen the water crisis in Bundelkhand.
 
On completion of Ken Betwa link, there will be water-water everywhere,” he told. He said that provisions made in Union Budget will speed up Madhya Pradesh’s development and will improve infrastructure. Union Budget has proposed allocation of Rs 38743 crore for 89 road projects (3636 kilometres) of Madhya Pradesh. Rs 1565 crore has been given for Bhopal Metro and Rs 1106 crores for Indore Metro. Meanwhile, Rs 400 crore have been given for culverts, Rs 650 crore have been given for development of roads through PPP mode.
 
For eight new rail projects of 1979 kilometres of state, Rs 34770 crores have been given. Talking about farmers’ agitation and interference of outside forces in it including pop singer Rihanna, he told that such people are getting connected with movement who has nothing to do with farming. Coming down heavily on Congress, he told that they neither do debate over new farm laws in Parliament nor point out the shortcomings. He asserted that whatever attempts are made by Opposition, country is standing with PM Narendra Modi.
