CM travels via road to take stock of devpt works in Naxal-hit Dantewada

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Sunday travelled around 50 kilometres by road in Naxal-hit Dantewada district to observe development works being carried out in the district. Baghel took stock of various development works and innovations in Dantewada district.
 
He inaugurated beautification and renovation works at Devgudi of Gamawada village. He along with the chiefs of various communities participated in a mass feast. He also took lunch in the feast. Later, Baghel reached Patarras where he laid foundation stones for construction of Chhattisgarhiya Samaj Ekta Parisar. Speaking on the occasion, the CM said that the campus will become an example of harmony, unity and equality for all areas of State. Chhattisgarhiya Samaj Ekata Parisar is being developed in 18.42 acres of land at Patarras village on Bailadila road. In the Chhattisgarhiya Samaj Ekata Parisar, separate buildings will be built for all the societies. An all-equipped community building will also be constructed in the campus.
 
Allotment of land will be done for every society so that every society can organise social and cultural programme in the campus. A total of 17 societies have applied for construction of social buildings. Later, Chief Minister Baghel addressed a public meeting at High School ground in Dantewada district headquarters. In the public meeting, the he highlighted the achievements of the Congress government within two years. Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee (CPCC) President Mohan Markam, Revenue Minister and Dantewada district In-charge Minister Jaisingh Agrawal, Industry Minister Kawasi Lakhma, Bastar MP Deepak Baij, Bastar Development Authority Vice-Chairman Vikram Mandavi, State Handicraft Development Board Chairman Chandan Kashyap, Parliamentary Secretary Rekhchand Jain, Dantewada MLA Devati Karma, Chitrakote MLA Rajman Benjam, Bastar Divisional Commissioner G R Churendra, Inspector General of Police P Sundar Raj, Collector Deepak Soni, Superintendent of Police Dr Abhishek Pallav, Jila Panchayat Chie Executive Officer Ashwani Dewangan and other officials were present on the occasion.
