“The last person in the society should be the first to whom development must reach,” said Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Dr Narottam Mishra on Sunday. Mishra made the above remarks while addressing a ‘Swachhta Samman Samaroh’ at Datia district. The Home Minister, on this occasion, felicitated the sanitation workers by handing them over a Swachhta Shri Samman and a certificate of appreciation.

He said that he felt proud to honour the sanitation workers and that all those making constant efforts to make Datia clean deserves to be congratulated. Dr Mishra added that ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas’ is the basic mantra of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and of us, as well. Keeping this in mind, the Central and Madhya Pradesh governments are working. The sanitation workers are making significant contribution in making the city clean and developed.

He said that all the people have seen the work of these sanitation workers and with their efforts, Datia will become the cleanest city in the state. The Home Minister further said that on the initiative of District Collector, following the principle of Vasudev Kutumbakam, the pledge taken by all officers and employees on the cleanliness drive in the city is commendable. On this occasion Dr Mishra also released a video song on ‘Swachhta’ sung by Amita Kailasiya.
