MP witnesses spurt of 603 corona positive cases

Madhya Pradesh witnessed an alarming rise of 603 fresh COVID-19 cases while two patients succumbed to the infection in past 24 hours.
Of all cases reported in State on Friday, 219 came to the fore from Indore while 138 were detected in Bhopal.
The above figures are an indicator that corona spread is now limited only to a few districts in the State. With Friday numbers, the total case tally has reached to 2,67,176 and so far 3,883 people have succumbed to the deadly coronavirus in state.
Madhya Pradesh’s active cases are rising again and have reached 4,335 on Friday and the test positivity rose to 4.1 per cent. The number of people who have recovered from the disease has reached 2,58,958 pushing the state recovery rate to 97.45 per cent, while the COVID-19 case fatality rate stands at 1.47 per cent.
A total of 3,883 deaths have been reported so far in the State, including 940 from Indore, followed by 621 in Bhopal, 252 from Jabalpur, 230 from Gwalior, 153 from Sagar and 104 in Ujjain.
Madhya Pradesh’s coronavirus figures are as follows: Total cases 2,67,176, active cases 4,335, new cases 603, total deaths 3,883, discharged 2,58, 598, number of people tested so far 59,73,547.
