As COVID cases surge, sanitisation restarts

Due to rise in corona cases, Bhopal Municipal Corporation has started sanitisation activities in many areas. Multinozzle rakshak spray were used to spray disinfectant at Link road, Priyanka Nagar. Dholi Khadan, Anshalgreen Laxmi Parisar, Genhukheda, Neelgiri, Pahadi Mandir, Varun Nagar. Zonal officers will be coordinating activities from Smart City control room and health squad officials are also on field to assess the situation. Earlier, Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) carried out sanitisation activities in COVID hotspot areas in the city.
 
They are also provided gloves, masks, boots and hand sanitisers and PPE kits. Sanitation employees working across the city are working also in vulnerable areas and are exposed to a greater risk of being infected therefore they have been asked to ensure compliance of COVID-19. BMC has launched a drive to sanitise colonies and wash roads in different areas in wake of COVID-19 last year and now as cases are increasing, Bhopal Municipal Corporation is gearing up to restart sanitisation activities in city markets, major roads. Bus stops, Railway junction area, areas near hospitals etc.
