Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan convened a meeting at Mantralaya to review corona situation. One seeing the rise in corona cases, Chouhan ordered to impose night curfew in Bhopal and Indore from Wednesday onwards. He said that necessary arrangements will be made with strictness in districts where there is a rise in positive cases of corona. Important decisions are being taken to protect people of state from infection. Once the positive case numbers in the districts start declining, they will be given respite.
 
Positive cases of corona have increased this week in some urban areas of the state. In view of this, orders have been issued to impose night curfew in Indore, Bhopal from the night of March 17. He said “We do not have to take State towards lockdown. For this, there is a need for people to remain vigilant against infection and to take necessary precautions,”. Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains and Director General of Police Vivek Johri were present in the meeting.
 
Open jail and fine for not wearing mask: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that a system of open jail and fine for not wearing mask will be implemented in districts where corona cases are on rise. Under open jail, there is provision to restrict movement of a person for not wearing mask.Chouhan said that it is necessary that corona control is maintained after the precautions being taken since last one year. At present, situation is worrisome because positive cases have increased due to greater participation in large ceremonies and celebrations and negligence in following the precautions against corona.
