VFJ ensuring social responsibility along with defence services: GM

“Rendering its best services for national security by providing defence vehicles to the Indian Army, the Vehicle Factory Jabalpur (VFJ) is successfully accomplishing its diversified project of producing Sharang producing guns for the Armed forces. Along with producing defence products, the factory is also fulfilling its social responsibility by producing and supplying stretchers, glucose stand, sanitiser stands, belts, sanitiser tanks and other medical equipment to civic and municipal authorities during the COVID-18 pandemic,’ informed by Atul Gupta, General Manager, Vehicle Factory Jabalpur, while addressing a press conference, on Wednesday.
 
General Mamager Atul Gupta extended greetings of 220th Ordnance Factory Day amongst officers and employees. He informed that it is a matter of pride that VFJ, Joint GM, Rameshwar Meena has been conferred with Ayudh Bhushan Award by the Ordnance Factory Board for his dedicated working in the production area. He informed that the factory was established in year 1969 and playing key role in production and supply of defence vehicle include Stallion, LPTA, Mine Protective Vehicle, Sharang Gun system. VFJ has dispatched 17 Sharang Guns to the armed forces while 12 are in queue to supply. Similarly, they are converting 7.62 MM SLR guns into drill practice gun for soldiers and NCC cadets and received the indent from Ordnance Factory Board. Bullet proofing of Tata 407 and Swaraj Mazda vehicles is being carried out on war footing.
