5 killed as mini-truck overturns near Mandla

Five people died in a road accident in Mandla. According to information, a mini-truck carrying a marriage party collided with an electric pole on the road and overturned. In this accident, five people died, while more than 40 people have been injured. All the injured were rushed to Narayanganj Health Centre. The marriage party left from Devdongri village of Jhari Gram Panchayat towards Chadehra village of Shankarganj on Wednesday. On Thursday morning, after the marriage, the family members and relatives were going back to their village in a 407 mini-truck. On the way, the driver lost control and the vehicle hit an electric pole and overturned near Potla village.
 
One woman and four others lost their lives in this accident that occurred at 9 am. The remaining 40 people sitting in the vehicle have been taken to the hospital for treatment. The hand of one of the vitim got severed in the accident. Many of the injured suffered for a long time after the accident, but ambulances could not reach on time to take them to the hospital. After the accident, the people residing nearby took the injured to Narayanganj Hospital.
 
However, due to to lack of proper treatment at the centre, they were taken to Jabalpur Medical Hospital. District Collector Harshika Singh reached the district hospital and took stock of the arrangements for the treatment of the injure. She directed the concerned authorities to provide proper treatment to all the injured. She has given instructions to provide assistance to the deceased persons in this accident as per the rules of the State Government.
