Educational bodies celebrate 75th yr of India’s Independence

To mark the 75th anniversary of India’s Independence, cycle rally was organised by a number of educational institutions and organizations in the city. Government Mankunwar Bai Arts and Commerce College for Women organised a bicycle expedition by NCC and NSS cadets to commemorate 75th anniversary of Indian’s freedom. Dr Leela Bhalavi, Principal and Additional Director, Higher Education, Jabalpur division, Dr. Rashmi Choubey, Professor of Economics, Dr R N Shrivastava, Professor of History flagged-off the rally.
 
The cycle expedition was organised under the leadership of NCC Officer, Dr. Captain Sapna Chawla, Professor of Commerce, Dr. Lieutenant Neha Shakya, Assistant Professor of Philosophy, Dr Aruna, NSS Officer and Dr. Jyoti Jat, Sports Officer. The rally began from college and culminated at Shaheed Smarak, Gol Bazaar, where staff and cadets paid homage to the martyrs and remembered their sacrifices made to make India free from British rule. The college management extended gratitude for the support received from Madan Mahal police station in handling the crowd and is also thankful to senior photographer, Ajay Gupta for capturing the memories of the event. The rally started from college premises and concluded at Shahid Smarak Square. Speaking on the occasion, NSS Incharge Dr. Ritu Singh expressed her thoughts on the importance of Dandi March.
 
Assistant Professor Vinashree Khurana and Puspendra Pathak shared their thoughts on Dandi March. Some students also shared their viewpoints on Dandi March. Assistant Professor Alok Kumar proposed the vote of thanks. The teachers and students contributed in making the program successful. NSS and NCC A cycle rally was organised by the students of NSS and NCC Department under the guidance of Program Convener Dr. Neeraj Kesharwani from college to Gandhi Bhawan. Principal Dr. Sunil Kumar Pahwa flagged the rally. The students chanted ‘bharat mata ki jai, and ‘vandemataram’. The participants garlanded the picture of Bharat Mata. Principal Dr. Pahwa made the students realize their duties towards the country. Senior Professor Dr. Vinod Mishra, Dr. Shiv Kumar Vyas, Dr C K Chouksey, Dr Arti Patel and others were present on the occasion. Dr. Ashok Banerjee proposed the vote of thanks. ST ALOYSIUS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY Cycle rally was organised by Saint Aloysius Institute of Technology. Director Dr. Father Davis George, and principal Dr. Archana Pathak flagged the rally.
 
The rally started from college premises and concluded at Rani Durgavati Samadi Sthal. Father Ben Enton Rose and teachers were present. Dr Priti Srivastava and Shubhi Sharma and students’ namely- Saurabh, Anurag, Harshit, Sahil, Priyanshu contributed in the rally.
 
VARIOUS EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS A cycle rally was organised by the students of various colleges under the guidance of National Service Scheme, Jabalpur on Wednesday from 9 am. Sharatchandra Palan flagged the rally. The rally started from Mahatma Gandhi’s first place of stay and concluded at Heerji Govind firm, Baldevbagh. History Department Head Dr. Anand Singh Rana explained the incidents of Gandhi’s first place of stay. RDVV Vice-Chancellor Professor Kapil Dev Mishra expressed his thoughts on Gandhi’s principles. College Principal Dr. Abhijat Krishna Tripathi explained the significance of historic places and appealed to the students to follow Gandhiji’s path. The students and teachers of NCC and NSS participated in the rally. Around 140 students from various colleges participated in the rally. Rahul Bohre, Akash Soni, Dr. Bharti Tiwari, Dr. Alpana Singh and others contributed in the programme. Dr. Anand Singh Rana presided over the programme and Devanshu proposed a vote of thanks.
