Essential services and industries will remain operational
In wake of rising cases of coronavirus, State Government has decided to impose lockdown in Indore, Bhopal and Jabalpur from Saturday 10 pm till Monday 6 am. Essential services and industries will remain operational during lockdown.
 
Schools and colleges will remain closed till March 31 in Bhopal, Indore and Jabalpur. This decision was taken during the corona review meeting headed by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan at Mantralaya on Friday. Chief Minister said that those who are not wearing masks are endangering not only their own life but also putting lives of others at risk in society.
 
Government is making all necessary arrangements, but full co-operation of everyone is very important to prevent spread of infection. He said that permission will have to be obtained from administration for organising social functions during lockdown on Sunday in Indore, Bhopal and Jabalpur. Talking about increasing infection rate, he appealed people to adhere to norms such as wearing mask, maintaining social distancing, to avoid crowded places etc.
Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Director General of Police Vivek Johri, Additional Chief Secretary Health Mohammad Suleman, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Rajesh Rajaura and Principal Secretary Public Relations Shiv Shekhar Shukla were present in the meeting.
 
Farmers should not worry, all will get compensation: Chief Minister said that farmers whose crops have been damaged by unseasonal rains and hailstorm, should not worry. Instructions have been given for survey. The survey will start soon and farmers will be given adequate compensation against damage to crops.
