Animal Biotechnology Centre, Nanaji Deshmukh Veterinary Science University, will soon get decorated with ISO certificate. As Assessment Team of ISO has already given it’s recommendation for that. Director, Animal Biotechnology Centre, Dr A P Singh informed that assessment team of UKAD-CB-0035 visited the campus to certify it for ISO-9001-2015. The team assessed the Centre’s hi-tech lab, Embryo Biotechnology Lab, Cell and Stem Cell Culture Lab, University Central Lab and Molecular Lab on the basis of 40 points.
 
They also inspected the Centre to observe availability of NGS, Real Time PCR, Confocal Microscope, LN-2 Generator and other facilities. Divisional Manager, PCI Certification, Tarun Kumar Singh and Principal Auditor, Vinay Sharma who mainly represented assessment team, informed that the centre has matched all parameters for ISO certification.
After assessment, the Centre Director has been asked to fulfill other formalities required to decorate the Centre with ISO certification.
 
As per official sources, this will be the first centre in Veterinary University to be certified with ISO status for three years. In between which, ISO team will conduct annual assessment to ensure that all parameters should be fulfilled by the Centre.
 
Vice-Chancellor, Veterinary University, Dr S P Tiwari informed that the university administration makes efforts to certify all its labs with ISO. After Animal Biotechnology, Animal Nutrition, Wildlife Centre will also be certified with the same. After ISO certification, quality of lab activities would be certified.
