Alleged irresponsible working of office-bearers of Hockey Madhya Pradesh proved dear for the upcoming players. One year of budding hockey talent got wasted due to disqualification of Madhya Pradesh team from Sub Junior National Hockey Tournament being held in Haryana from March 17.

Sources claimed that the office-bearers of Hockey Madhya Pradesh had tried to include some players of other states in Madhya Pradesh team ithout no objection certificates (NOC) of their respective state associations. Foul play of including other state players leads to spoil entire year of other players.

On the other hand, Secretary of Hockey Madhya Pradesh, Lok Bahadur, talking to ‘The Hitavada’, informed that there
is nothing faulty on the part of association. Selected players were informed to update their online details on website of Hockey India, but some of them failed in updating their documents even after repeated attempts. Total 6 to 7 players were disqualified and the team could not play with less numbers of players. Office-bearers of Jagruk Khel Sangh Madhya Pradesh flayed the irresponsible working of members of Hockey Madhya Pradesh as it is their responsibility to collect necessary documents from players for their online registration. Secretary of State Association had selected three players named Summer Ali, Manish Gupta and Vivek Kumar of Uttar Pradesh in Madhya Pradesh team without taking their NOC for his vested interest. They have demanded the State Sports Minister for taking action against office-bearers of Hockey Madhya Pradesh for not securing the future of several upcoming players and desired promotion of Hockey in the State.
