Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was welcomed by Chhattisgarh Chief Minister and All India Congress Committee (AICC) Senior Observer for Assam polls Bhupesh Baghel at Dibrugarh Airport in Assam on Friday.

 

Rahul Gandhi has started his two-day visit to poll-bound state Assam from Friday. Rahul Gandhi interacted with college students at Lahowal in Dibrugarh district.

 

Gandhi also interacted with tea garden workers at Dinjoy tea estate in Chabua. Later, Rahul Gandhi addressed an election campaign rally at Doomdooma in the Tinsukia district. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel also addressed the election rally.

 

In his statement, Chief Minister Baghel said that the Congress would win over 100 seats in Assam. “Bharatiya Janata Party doesn’t have any agenda. It should first decide whether Sonowal or Himanta was Chief Minister for the last 5 years in Assam. BJP is confused and Assam is going to slip out of their hands,” Baghel said.
