 Former CM Digvijay Singh and Congress leaders during Loktantra Samman Diwas observed by Congress in Bhopal on Saturday.

Congress observed one year of collapse of Kamal Nath government in the form of Loktantra Samman Diwas in all districts, including Bhopal on Saturday. Video message of Kamal Nath was played on this occasion. In his video message, Kamal Nath said that when Congress government collapsed, he was left with only two options, first either he should get indulge into horse trading (to save his government) or resign in respect of democracy and he opted second option to resign from CM post.
 
“Now one year has passed and situation of state is in front of everyone. State has become number one in crime against women and state is in grip of different kind of Mafias,” he told. He added that public is reeling under skyrocketing prices of gas cylinder, petrol, diesel and rising inflation. He accused BJP government of ignoring problems of public. Going retrospective, he told that during fifteen-month rule of Congress, efforts were made to fulfill promises made in manifesto including waiving of farmers loan, constructing Gau Shala, increasing OBC reservation, construction of Sita Mata temple, construction of Ram Van Gaman Path etc.
 
Addressing Congress workers, former CM Digvijay Singh told that during fifteen-month rule of Congress, Kamal Nath took all those decisions which were in interest of poor, labourers, widows, unemployed youths and youths. After coming to power, BJP changed all those decisions. He accused BJP of never in favour of democracy. Former Union Minister Suresh Pachauri also made a scathing attack on BJP. On this occasion, Congress organisation incharge Chandraprabhash Shekar, Congress Vice President Prakash Jain, MLAs P C Sharma, Arif Masood, Women Congress State President Mandvi Chauhan, K K Mishra, Bhupendra Gupta were present.
