Nishan-e-Khalsa Punjab team defeated Narsinghpur by 8 wickets and won the final match in ongoing Sansad (MP) Cup T-20 Inter-state Cricket Tournament at local Mahatma Gandhi Stadium. Nishan-e-Khalsa Punjab brilliantly scored 121 runs in 16.5 overs. After winning the toss in the match, Narsinghpur team lost 4 crucial wickets in just 19 runs in the third over. After this, Pawan Chandel and Kuldeep Thakur tried to handle the innings, but after scoring 25 runs on the score of 65 runs, Kuldeep Thakur was out. After fifth wicket, wickets kept falling at regular intervals and in 20th over, Narsinghpur’s team was all out for 118 runs. Pawan Chandel contributed 20 and Manish Sahu contributed 27 runs. Yash Kadam’s half-century innings.
 
Chasing a winning target of 119, Punjab got off to a decent start. Punjab’s first wicket Nayan Chavan fell for 40 runs and second wicket fell as Kaustubh for 58 runs. After that, in 63 run unbeaten partnership between opener batsman Yash Kadam and Yash Rathore, Nishan-e-Khalsa Punjab won by 8 wickets against Narsinghpur. Yash Kadam contributed an unbeaten 60 in 52 balls with 7 fours and 2 sixes and Yash Rathore contributed an unbeaten 22 runs in 21 balls with the help of 1 six and 1 four. Secretary of Hockey Mandla and Executive Member of Madhya Pradesh Hockey Syed Qamar Ali and SDOP Mandla Aswani Kumar got introduction of players and started the match. After the final match, a prize distribution ceremony was organised in presence of chief guest, Union Minister of State for Steel Faggan Singh Kulaste, chaired by JMD MP CG CEO Omprakash Gunawan and distinguished guests of BJP District President Bhishma Dwivedi. In which Namami Art Foundation did a street play on important topics like cleanliness and health and Minumoy Robina Singh Thakur performed various arts of yoga.
 
The Union Minister also said that in order to promote sports activities in the district, the Parliament Cup will be organised every year and other sports disciplines should also be organised. He congratulated all the participating teams including winning team and congratulated all members associated with the organising committee for the successful event. Abhishek Pathak was man of series. Yash Kadam of Nishan-e-Khalsa Punjab gain Man-of-the-Match award, Abhishek Pathak from Narsinghpur, was awarded the Man-of-the-Series award for his all-round performance during the competition, who performed brilliantly in final match.
 
He was awarded Best Bowler award for taking 11 wickets in the competition. Kuldeep Thakur of Narsinghpur was awarded the Best Batsman Award for scoring 159 runs in four matches. Nayan Chavan of Punjab team was honoured with Best Fielder and Wicket-keeper Yash Thaurat as Best Wicket-keeper of the tournament. A cheque and trophy of Rs 1,01,000 was presented to the winning team Nishan-e-Khalsa Punjab by guests and Rs 51,000 cheque and trophy to runners-up team Narsinghpur.
