Highlighting the developmental works by the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) Government under the guidance of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in the last one year, senior party leaders, on Monday, said that despite the global pandemic, the State Government had succeeded in continuing the pace of development and welfare for the needy and poor. Addressing a press conference, MLA Ashok Rohani said despite Coronavirus spread, the Madhya Pradesh Government tirelessly worked for the welfare of every section of the society.
 
He added that then Congress Government had only three testing labs with strength of 300 tests per day, while on the other the BJP Government has increased the strength of labs to 32 and testing capacity to 33,000. Rohani said the State Government initiated massive drive action against Mafias. It rescued 10418 girls from the clutches of criminals in one year and lessen crimes against women by 4.35 percent. Similarly, the State Government expanded the number of food centers under Deendayal Rasoi Yojana from 56 to 100. Expressing views on the occasion MLA Ajay Vishnoi said more than 3 lakh people above 60 years of age have administered Covid-19 vaccination and around 53,000 people suffering from serious illness have been vaccinated.
 
He said the State Government during the pandemic made arrangements for online classes. In the year 2020-21, more than 11crore students have received scholarships. He said Madhya Pradesh is the first State, which has prepared the road map of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ and has started working on it.
