Mesmerising performances mark 2nd day of Ustad Allauddin Khan Samaroh

 The ‘Sarod Jugalbandi’ by Siraj Ali, great grandson of Late Baba Allauddin Khan and Deeptoneel Bhattacharya on the second day of the 46th Ustad Allauddin Khan Samaroh at Maihar.

The prestigious 46th Ustad Allauddin Khan Samaroh has begun in Maihar and the second day witnessed some mesmerizing performances of reputed artists along with upcoming talents. This function has been organised by the Culture Department, Ustad Allauddin Khan Sangeet Ewam Kala Academy, MP Sankriti Parishad with association with the district administration, local organising committee, Maihar and the general public. On the second day, the evening started with presentation by Maihar Band.
 
The artist presented tune of the devotional song ‘Vaishnao Jan Te Maine Kahiye’. The second presentation was kathak by Vishal Krishna from, Varanasi. He presented ‘Ganga Stuti’. Classical vocal by Rasika Gawde from Indore, captivated the audience. Upcoming artist Risabh Tripathi from Satna gave ‘Tabla’recital and won the hearts of the music-lovers. The spell-binding ‘Sarod Jugalbandi’ by Siraj Ali, great grandson of Late Baba Allauddin Khan and Deeptoneel Bhattacharya, made the audience to remain glued to their seats.
 
The last presentation of the evening was a Kathak presentation by Neelangi Kalantre from Jabalpur. On the occasion, MLA Narayan Tripathi, MLA, Satna, Sidharth Kushwaha, Municipality President Dharmesh Ghai, SDM, Maihar Suresh Agarwal, Ramesh Pandey, RK Singh, KC Jain, district panchayat member Umesh Pratap Singh and other dignitaries were present.
