Even the administration has turned a Nelson’s eye towards such people indulged in illegal activities. This has boosted the morals of such people and now they are not leaving any chance to exploit the nature for their own benefits. One such case has come up in which Government land is being excavated for the construction of rural road in the Medipathar area from the main road of Khandseoni. A contractor of Chhindwara has defrauded lakhs of rupees by stealing mud muram stones by cutting hundreds of dumper mountains from the land of Revenue Department.

According to information received from the sources, the construction work of Medhipathar - Khandseoni road, is given to contractor of Chhindwara. Hundreds of dumpers of mud and stones have been stolen from Murram block, Hundreds of trucks of mud have been stolen by the contractor by digging the hill lands of the Revenue Department without permission for leveling the road, the contractor protested by villagers for openly digging the hills of the forest, but the contractors have connection with political bosses of the area, due to which the matter got defaced on the spot, the green trees along the forest edge have also been damaged due to massive soil excavation during the construction of the road, Janpad Panchayat member, Vinayak Marskaule said that in the road between village Medhipathar and Khandseoni, the contractor has used mud and stones, which is the land of Mokshdham adjacent to the village.

Regarding the illegal excavation of mud and stones made for this road construction, the responsible officers of the department concerned are also aware of this, yet no official connected with the revenue department has tried to reach out and investigate this construction work.
